KARACHI, July 7: A strong 28-member Chinese hockey squad is due arrive here on Tuesday evening to play a series of matches against Pakistan senior and Pakistan junior sides.
Sindh Hockey Association (SHA) is organizing the series on behalf of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF).
Chinese team will be accorded a warm welcome on their arrival at Quaid-i-Azam International Airport.
According to fresh programme Chinese will now play two matches against Juniors on July 10 and 11 while matches against Pakistan Seniors will be played on July 13-15. The visiting team will comprises 21 players, four coaches, team leader, team manager and an interpreter. Former Pakistan Olympian Khawja Muhammad Junaid is among four coaches. Following is the squad:
Song Yonggjia (team leader), Wang Tong (manager), Vang Yang, Yu Hao, Chen Dekang, Khawaja Junaid (all coaches), Liu Huirong (Interpreter) are officials of the team. Chinese squad is: Kiang Fbi (goal-keeper), Lu Peng, Hu Huiren, Zhang Xiaohui, Guo Jie, Chen Zhijian, meng Gang, Fang Yanqiang Qiao Yuandan (full backs), Liu Weitang, Meng Lizhi, Yu Haihao, Chai Bin (half backs), Yu Yang, Jiang Kishang, Song Yi, Li Yingwen, Luo Fangming and Meng Junzhu (forwards).— APP
