LAHORE, July 7: Rain in many parts of the country on Monday brought down the temperature, but increased humidity and raised fears of flash floods.

According to reports, Plandri received 84mm rain, Schawa 83mm, Muzaffarabad 38mm, Domel 35mm, Murree 32mm, Hyderabad and Sekhakot 31mm each and Oghi 29mm rain. Besides, showers of moderate intensity were reported in many other parts of the country.

The meteorological office forecast more scattered rains in the catchment areas of major rivers along with the northern and northeastern Punjab, Sindh, and eastern and coastal Balochistan. Peshawar, Kohat, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur and Sargodha are likely to receive thunderstorm.

In Lahore, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.6 degrees Celsius and minimum 26.9 degrees Celsius. It was 75 per cent humidity in the morning and 47 per cent in the evening.
