RAWALPINDI, June 30: Customs authorities at the Islamabad International Airport on Monday seized 2.85kg heroin and off- loaded a passenger from an Emirates flight.

Deputy superintendent customs drug enforcement cell, Inamul Haq, said a passenger, who was later identified as Mazhar Iqbal, was noticed acting suspiciously while the checking-in for the flight EK-615 to Athens via Dubai was in progress.

The customs officials recovered 2.85kg heroin concealed in a cardboard carton belonging to the accused and handed him over to the police, he added.
