KARACHI, June 23: Partially decomposed bodies of three men, belonging to Mohajir Qaumi Movement, were discovered from the premises of a public school in densely populated Jutland Lines on Monday evening.
Police said that three bodies were dumped in a small washroom of Government Boys Primary School, Jutland Lines.
People from the neighbourhood informed the police about the stench emanating from the school. Although the school was closed due to summer vacations, its main gate was unlocked and some boys had gone inside the school and saw three bodies dumped over each other, said a resident.
The three bodies, discovered from the premises, were identified as of Karim Ahmed, Arsalan Babu and Imran Naqvi, all residents of Jutland Lines.
The bodies were taken out from the small washroom by Rizwan Edhi, who was assisted by his colleagues. The stench was so extreme, that the policemen and rangers personal stayed away from the bodies. The bodies were shifted in Edhi ambulances to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy at 7:10pm. However, till 11:00pm, they were kept unattended at the mortuary, as a medico-legal officer was absent from his seat.
According to the MQM (H), three men were kidnapped from outside of their house, located opposite of Hussaini Imambargah, on June 20.
Kamran Naqvi, brother of Imran told Dawn that his elder brother used to work along with his father at their marble factory. On Friday night, Imran was sitting along with his friends outside his house, when 10 or 11 armed men came there and kidnapped them, he added.
“We did not lodge an FIR and opted for only an entry about their kidnapping at the police station, as we were expecting their return,” Kamran added.
Police said that victims appeared to have been shot and hanged, however, their condition was so bad that forensic details could be established only after the post-mortem examination of their bodies.
“It seems that three young men were killed on the same night, when they were kidnapped,” police said.
