KARACHI, June 17: Four ships carrying coal, containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active owing to steady arrivals of foreign flag vessels. Five ships, Global Progress, PNL Mahe and Kota Waruna to unload and load containers, Tempere to offload cars and Warbah to unload high speed diesel.
Three ships, PNL Mahe, Izumo and Tamyra departed on Tuesday, while Gao He, Tempere, Global Progress, Orient Stride, Warbah and APL Portugal are due to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling activity was remained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 75,384 tons comprising 33,870 tons of export cargo and 41,514 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Hyundai Future, Kota Intan, with containers, Betelgu Ze, with coal and Atlantic Zues, with high speed diesel.
KARACHI, June 17: Three ships carrying edible oil, furnace oil and chemicals were allotted berths at Multipurpose, Fotco Oil and Engro Vopak Terminals during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, two more container ships also arrived at the outer anchorage.
Berth occupancy was maintained on the higher side as five ships, Mary Laki, Stolt Falcon, Entalina, Fare Mare and Qem Star were busy in loading/offloading wheat, edible oil, furnace oil and chemicals.
A cargo volume of 29,513 tons comprising 24,593 tons of import cargo and 4,490 tons of export tonnage was handled.
Bow Lady and Stolt Falcon departed, while Qem Star was due to leave the port.
Four ships, New Setokaze, Sun Crystal, Safmarine Vinson and Carmen were awaiting berths at the outer anchorage.
