ISLAMABAD, June 15: The federal government on Sunday appointed new Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police, NWFP.

An official notification issued on Sunday said that Ijaz Ahmad Qureshi, a BS-21 officer of the District Management Group, at present posted as DG National Institute of Public Administration, Karachi, is transferred and posted as Chief Secretary, government of NWFP, with immediate effect and until further orders.

Muhammad Riffat Pasha, a BS-21 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan, currently posted at the National Defence College, is posted as IG Police, government of NWFP.
