Prisoner commits ‘suicide’

QUETTA, June 14: A convict in a murder case committed suicide in Mach central jail by hanging himself with a rope on Friday, prison authorities said on Saturday.

Sources said Syed Qayyum Shah, an ex-sepoy of the Frontier Corps was convicted of killing one of his colleagues two years ago and awarded life imprisonment. “He hanged himself with a rope in the jail ward on Friday evening,” sources said.
