KARACHI, Jan 29: The Sindh Professors and Lecturers’ Association (SPLA) has criticized the appointment of Prof Raees Alvi as the executive district officer (EDO) Education, Karachi.

In a statement on Tuesday, the office-bearers of the SPLA, Karachi region, maintained that a grade 19 office had been posted against a grade 20 position.

It also criticized the policies pursued by Prof Raees during his tenure as additional secretary of education.—APP
