BASRA, June 7: Some 2,000 Iraqi Shia Muslims marched in Basra Saturday to demand the withdrawal of British occupation forces from Iraq’s main southern city. “Leave peacefully lest we expel you through our jihad (holy war),” they chanted in front of the headquarters of the British military command controlling southern Iraq, an AFP reporter witnessed.
