GUJRANWALA, June 7: A serial killer of call girls pleaded not guilty before a court while the complainant and an eyewitness changed their statements on Saturday.

Accused Sarwar Mughal, the father of eight children and a resident of Baghbanpura locality, was arrested on the charge of killing three call girls and injuring two others besides a rickshaw driver in January.

He confessed to have killed Ruqayya, Aroof and Bilqis and injured Musarrat, Bushra and rickshaw driver Ghulam Husain during the last two years before police.

According to police, the accused said he wanted to eliminate prostitution from city.

He denied the charges before a sessions judge, while complainant Ghulam Abbas, the husband of Ruqayya, and eyewitness rickshaw driver Ghulam Husain, changed their statements.
