FAISALABAD, June 7: The managing editor of local daily Saadat died here of kidney failure on Saturday. He was 61.

Shafiqur Rehman Saifi had been hospitalized with kidney problems.

A large number of people from various walks of life, journalists, politicians and relatives attended his funeral. He was laid to rest in People’s Colony graveyard. He is survived by a wife, two sons and a daughter.

Qul will be held at his residence in Press Park, People’s Colony on Sunday (today). —Staff Correspondent
