SAHIWAL, June 7: The Anti-Corruption Establishment on Saturday raided a police post and arrested a constable with Rs8,000 bribe amount handed over to him by the absconding sub-inspector.

Reports said Kot Khadim Ali Shah police post in-charge, Sub-inspector Waris Bhatti, had arrested four brothers for their alleged involvement in theft. Later, the SI allegedly took bribe and set them free.

On receiving information, the ACE team raided the police post and learnt that the accused sub-inspector had fled after handing over the amount to constable Shahadat Ali.

The team arrested the constable and registered a case against the accused.
