LAHORE, May 31: Four-year-old chestnut English filly Aegean Daisy may succeed in outclassing its eight rivals in the feature event of the Lahore Gymkhana Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday.
The Bhalwal Plate, a class IV handicap race to be contested over the sprinting distance of 1200 metres will be the sixth and last race of the day.
The way this daughter of Ball Harnbourn out-of- Dizzy Daisy won the Mardan Plate, a class IV division I & II combined handicap race run over 1400 metres on May 4 last, is an ample proof of filly’s ability as a useful Speedster.
Dare To Dream, Kargil Tiger and Zargar may fight for a place on the board.
Five-year-old bay Burn Heart with a facile victory on the trot will be going all out to make it two in-a-row in class V division I handicap race over 1200m.
Rukhtas Again and Eastern Bird may prove thorns in his way to victory in this supporting and fifth event.
Love Moon and Speed Gun are the two consistent performers in the fourth race. Speed Gun did not show up good on the dust track in his last outing.
If that is true, it will make Speed Gun a doubtful serious contender and Love Moon enjoying the favourable track conditions. On classification Song Of Freedom is an outstanding entry but returning to the track after a long absence.
A field of 14 runners may face the starter barring last- minute withdrawals in this race. Three events of the six race card drawn for the afternoon will be contested over 1200 metres and the other three over 1000 metres.
The first race will be held at 3pm.
