KARACHI, Dec 12: The Awami Himayat Tehreek on the last day of its mass- contact campaign on Wednesday organized a “torch-bearing” rally on the eve of 27th Ramazan-ul-Mubarak to express gratitude to Allah for blessing Muslims of the subcontinent with Pakistan.

The rally, held at “Mini Yadgar-i-Pakistan” Liaquatabad, were addressed by Aftab Siddiqui, Shahid Husain, Hanif Patni, Khalid Zafar and Imran Shahzad.

Recalling the importance of the day, the speakers said 55 years back it was on 27th Ramazan-ul-Mubarak that Pakistan came up on the world map.
