Two sisters shot dead

DADU, May 21: Two sisters were shot dead by ten armed men over an old enmity in the Khairpur Nathan Shah taluka on Tuesday night.

The armed men barged into the house of Qurban Chandio in the Mashooq Chandio village and shot Subhan Khatoon, 24, wife of Zulfiqar Chandio, and Moomal Chandio, 19, wife of Ali Mardan Chandio, dead after holding family members hostage.

The uncle of the deceased, Sabir Hussain Chandio, has lodged an FIR with the Khairpur Nathan Shah police against Jabir, Sultan, Pyar Ali, Abdul Sattar, Mohammad Ali Mukhtiar, Ramzan and four others, all Chandio by caste.

The brother of the deceased told journalists that the accused had also killed his two relatives — Gulzar and Sohrab — over a money dispute some time back.

POSTED: The AIGP, Hyderabad, Ghulam Mohammad Malkani, has said 150 more trained police officials have been posted on the Super Highway and at the Kotri Industrial Zone to improve the law and order situation.

He was talking to a gathering of Nazims and industrialists of the Kotri Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) in Kotri on Wednesday.

He said a campaign against outlaws had been launched in the Hyderabad region.
