LAHORE, May 20: The Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank will distribute mid-term loans of Rs200 million among farmers by June 30 for the purchase of seeds, agricultural machinery and implements.
Provincial Cooperatives Minister Malik Mohammed Anwar said this while talking to people at an open kutchery at the Muslim League House here on Tuesday.
He said the Punjab Liquidation Board was disposing of the agricultural land owned by the National Cooperative Finance Corporation at the prevailing market price. The funds thus collected would be utilized for making payments to the affectees of the defunct cooperative finance corporation.
