KARACHI, May 8: Five ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load naptha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to a KPT activity report.
Berth occupancy at the wharves was on the lower side of the daily average, because of delayed arrivals of cargo ships, falling to 33 percent on dry wharves but normal at 50 percent at the Bulk Oil Piers.
Three ships, Hyundai Advance, Al-Wajba to unload and load containers and Banasol to load molasses were berthed after the departure of as many.
The ships, which departed included APL Portugal, Hyundai Advance and Al-Cyonida, while Argonaut, Kota Intan, Al-Wajba, and Banasol are due to sail out on Friday.
A total cargo of 46,133 tons comprising 25,911 tons of export cargo including 18,623 tons of liquid tonnage, and 20,222 tons of import cargo was handled.
The following ships are due on Friday: Sima Bahar, Kota Teguh, Global Progress and Wehr Havel, with containers and Nikos to load 15,000 tons of naptha.
