KARACHI, Dec 6: The Sindh labour, transport, industries and commerce department, in view of the reduction in the prices of petroleum products announced by the oil companies advisory committee and to pass on the benefit to the public, has withdrawn its earlier notification of Aug 4.

A handout issued here on Thursday says that the fares on the urban routes of Karachi announced on Nov 14 will therefore be applicable forthwith as under:

Buses: Up to 5km Rs3.5, up to 10km Rs5, up to 15km Rs5.5, up to 20km (proposed stage) Rs6, up to 25km (proposed stage) Rs6, above 30km (proposed stage) Rs6. For students there will be a 50 per cent discount.

Mini buses: Up to 5km Rs4.5, up to 10km Rs5.5, up to 15km Rs6, up to 20km (proposed stage) Rs6.5, up to 25km (proposed stage) Rs6.5, above 30km (proposed stage) Rs6.5.

Coaches: Up to 10km Rs8 and above 10km Rs9.—APP
