SAHIWAL, April 12: A man was killed by his opponents in Chak 66/4-R on Saturday.
Police said Machhia was sleeping at his outhouse in Khan Kamal when Zahir and Ali Sher came there and shot him dead.
Noorshah police registered a case.
ROBBERIES: A house and a shop were looted by robbers in the district on Friday night.
Four robbers entered the house of Alam Sher in Chak 189/9-L by scaling the boundary wall. They locked the family in a room and decamped with Rs35,000, a rifle, gold ornaments, and a motorcycle (No STD 3482).
Three armed men took away Rs69,000 from the shop of Arshad in Chak 93/12-L.
Another four robbers deprived Mansab Ali of his bicycle and Rs3,250 near Chak 88/6-R.
Police registered cases.
LAND DISPUTE: Three people were injured by nine people in Chak 18G-7-R on Friday.
Shabbir Hussain and Ghulam Abbas had a dispute over the possession of a piece of land in the village.
Ghulam Abbas came to the site with his eight armed accomplices on Friday evening to took possession. They shot at and injured Nazir Ahmad, his wife Hajran and brother’s wife Mumtaz when they put up resistance.
The injured were admitted to hospital.
Harappa police registered the case against the accused who were at large till late on Saturday night.
