MULTAN, Aug 25 On the recommendations of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif declared Multan a big city on Tuesday.
The chief minister announced this while talking to reporters along with Mr Gilani after the inaugural of the Agro Food Processing Plant in Multan Industrial Estate Area.
Mr Gilani and Mr Sharif also visited a Ramazan bazaar near MDA Chowk and inspected stalls.
They talked to customers at the bazaar and promised to take steps to minimise their difficulties.—Staff Correspondent
