KARACHI: Man dies during police raid

KARACHI, Dec 4: A 60-year-old man died in controversial circumstances during a police raid at his house near Kalapul Tuesday night.

Police said they raided Hakim’s house in Usman Colony and arrested his grandson, during which Hakim suffered cardiac arrest and died on way to hospital.

However, the family sources claimed that the victim died of police torture during the raid.

The dead body was shifted to the JPMC where the medico-legal officer could not be contacted for his opinion.
