Three women commit suicide

SAHIWAL, March 30: Three women committed suicide in different incidents during the last 24 hours.

Jameela Qureshi, the mother of two children and resident of Chak 90/9-L, committed suicide by jumping before a moving train near Western Railway Crossing.

The deceased would often quarrel with her husband Rafiq Jagga who was jobless. On Sunday, she again exchanged heated words with her husband.

Later, she took her children to the railway track, asked them to stay away and jumped before the 315 Up passenger train.

Railway police have taken the body into possession and registered a case.

Meanwhile, Zareena (40) of Bashir Colony took her life by taking poisonous pills after quarrelling with her husband Noor Muhammad.

A newly-wed girl, Zareen of Chak 71/D, committed suicide when her husband told her that he wanted to marriage with some other girl.

Police have registered cases and are investigating.
