TORKHUM (Pak-Afghan Boarder), March 20: The first batch of Afghanistan contingent, which only included a 16-member volleyball team, has arrived here on Thursday via Pak-Afghan border Torkhum to take part in the 9th SAF Games scheduled to commence in Islamabad from March 29, 2003.

Afghanistan group leader Atta Ullah Ghafoori said the other members of the contingent including some ministers of Afghan government will be reaching in a day or two.

The 16-member delegation: Syed Qalander Shah (Captain), Abdul Saboor, Syed Alam Shah Mukhtiari, Muhammad Zamin, Muhammad Hanif, Ahmed Tawab, Muhammad Baraley, Waheed Ullah, Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Yousaf Saddiq, Mustafa Farahmand, Syed Khalid.

Officials accompanied the players are Atta Ullah Ghafoori (group leader), Shah Muhammadzada (manager), Syed Manawar Shah Mukhtiari (coach), Abdul Amin Sofi (assistant coach).—APP
