LAHORE, March 20: The Punjab communications and works minister has ordered creation of a special cell for monitoring the assets of C&W officials, to discourage corruption in the department.
At a meeting here on Thursday, Zaheeruddin Khan directed the C&W secretary to arrange collection of details of the assets of all officials as prescribed in the law.
He said the cell should comprise honest officials and be responsible for scrutinizing the details of assets and pointing out discrepancies for necessary probe. He said the officials concealing their assets should be proceeded against. — Reporter
