They are squeaky cute and very talented. The three singing chipmunks Alvin, Simon and Theodore are back in Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakquel and are as cute as ever. And what makes this one more interesting is that it has a trio of singing female chipmunks as competition!

Dave Seville (the struggling songwriter) who turned these three into rock stars in the first movie, has landed in the hospital and the chipmunks are left with his cousin. They are sent to school and soon things aren't the same between the three because Alvin has started hanging out with others. Then three singing female chipmunks, Brittany (Christina Applegate), Eleanor (Amy Poehler) and Jeanette (Anna Faris), the Chipettes, also land up at the school. Alvin and the gang are at first smitten by them but it turns out that they are here to compete with them in an upcoming music competition where Alvin and Co. are taking part. And backing the Chipettes is Ian, the evil manager who tricked the chipmunks in the first movie. With not just three but six chipmunks this time, their squeaky talk sometimes becomes too much. But those who have been fans of these cutie and cuddly trio will enjoy this movie.
