KARACHI, March 17: Nine ships carrying, crude oil, containers and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to steady arrivals. As a result, half a dozen ships, Iwato, Bunga Masdua, Honor River, to unload and load containers, Hyderabad to offload general cargo, Berge Frost to load naphtha and Challenge Express to unload high speed diesel were berthed.
Sailing was also active as four ships, Ocean Genius, Panos-G, Nur al-Jubail and Liano departed, while Berge Frost, Kota Wijaya, Iwato, Challenge Express and Honor River are due to sail out on Tuesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was moderately active, totalling 53,304 tons comprising 10,452 tons of export tonnage including 9,600 tons of molasses and 42,852 tons of import cargo, notably oils.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Asia to load 15,500 tons of molasses, Hope-1 to offload 25,000 tons of oils, Stolt Vinland, to offload aviation gas, Shirvan and Alcyonida, to offload 61,500 and 70,000 tons of crude oil, Sima Bahar, Al-Wajba, MOL Sincerity and APL Dalian, with containers.
