PESHAWAR, Dec 1: The revenue collection by the Collectorate of Customs, Peshawar, in November, 2001 has exceeded the collection of November, 2000 by Rs45.12 million or 13.9 per cent.
According to the break up, during the month of November, 2000, Rs213.12m gross was collected as customs duty and Rs111.24m as sales tax on imports. In all, gross Rs324.36 million of revenue was collected during the said month.
However, during the month of November, 2001, the Collectorate collected Rs246.52m gross as customs duty and Rs122.96m as sales tax on imports. Total gross collection for the month of November, 2001 i.e Rs369.48m, showing an increase of Rs45.12m.—APP
