SAHIWAL, March 12: A special anti-corruption judge, Multan, (camp at Sahiwal) on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for five ASIs for their alleged involvement in corruption cases.
The police had been asked to produce before court ASIs Karam Shah, Manzoor Ahmed, Azadar Hussain, Manzoor Sahoo and Muhammad Yaqoob on March 25 after their arrest.
It was learnt that these ASIs were already dismissed from the service.
Meanwhile, the same court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for four contractors/office bearers of PML-N for corruption charges. The judge also directed the police to arrest Muhammad Iqbal, Ghulam Kharal, Pervez Akhtar and Muhammad Ramzan and produce them before court on March 25 instant.
WARRANTS: A local court on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for a lady doctor of Nishtar Hospital, Multan.
The judge has directed the police to produce her before court on March 25. The judge also ordered the attachment of her salary for the contempt of court.
Despite repeated notices, Dr Nabeela Tariq did not appear before court in a rape case of a girl student of Jamia Faridia (Girls Wing).
