KARACHI, March 12: Four ships carrying containers and oils are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active owing to steady arrivals. As a result, five ships, Oriental Bright, Kota Indah, APL Ivory to unload and load containers, Spectrum and Sorena to offload high speed diesel and crude oil.

Five ships also departed under the lead of Min He, PONL Singapore, Kota Waruna, Adimon and Naga, while Gangga Nagara, APL Ivory, NCC Natran, Le He, Spectrum and Kota Indah are due to sail out on Thursday.

Berth occupancy was maintained on the higher side, 67 per cent at the oil piers and 70 per cent on the dry wharves.

A total tonnage of 91,229 tons comprising 18,610 tons of export cargo including 2,133 tons of rice and 72,619 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Hyundai Stride, Lamphun Navee, Wan Hai-305, with containers and Iwato, with oil.
