VIENNA, March 7: Opec is working on a “contingency plan” to provide for shortages on the oil market if there is a war with Iraq, a source close to Opec said on Friday. The source said that Opec, at a meeting of the 11-nation cartel in Vienna next Tuesday would “see what measures are needed to offset a shortage if there is a military strike in Iraq.”—AFP
