KARACHI, Feb 27: Central leaders of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) Thursday appealed to Imams of central mosques in the city to use their influence and ask people to participate in a big way in MMA’s “Million March” planned for March 2.

MMA leaders Maulana Asadullah Bhutto, Dr. Khalid Mahmood Soomro, Allama Hasan Turabi, Maulana Asad Thanvi, Maulana Abdul Karim Abid and others in a statement urged religious scholars to tell people to attend the MMA rally and thereby prove they were against the US aggression.

Imams and religious scholars should lead small rallies from mosques after Juma prayers and join the Million March on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Over 355 trade and market associations of Karachi Thursday announced they will actively participate in the march.

In a meeting of All Pakistan Organization of Small Trade & Cottage Industries Karachi, with Muahmood Hamid in the chair, it was decided that traders and small businessmen will boycott the US-made products and stop selling them. —PPI
