KARACHI: Old man commits suicide

KARACHI, Feb 19: An old man committed suicide in his house in Gulzar-i-Hijri on Wednesday.

Police said that Mr Nizamuddin, aged 70, set himself on fire after sprinkling kerosene oil, in his house in Metrovill-III, Gulzar-i-Hijri.

Police, quoting family sources, said the victim was suffering from mental illness.

Meanwhile, five armed men sneaked into a house in Sector 12/L, they held the family hostage at gunpoint, collected cash and other valuables and escaped.
