Robbers strike nine times

FAISALABAD, Feb 18: Robbers took away cash, gold ornaments and hijacked a car and two motorcycles in nine strikes in the city and its rural areas during the last 24 hours.

Masked men took away the car (No FDV 533) of Dr. Asmatullah from Chak No 70 JB, Thikriwala, police said.

Another two masked robbers deprived Amir Saeed of his motorcycle (No FDZ 7136) in Chak No. 196 RB, Nishatabad police said.

The motorcycle (No FDP 3981) of Amjad Ali was taken away from outside his house in Fatehabad.

Computers and other gadgets, worth thousands of rupees, were stolen from a cyber cafe in Haseeb Shaheed Colony.

Thieves took away garments and other valuables, worth thousands of rupees, from the shop of Muhammad Hanif on Satiana Road.

A gang of armed men looted thousands of rupees and gold ornaments from the house of Munawwar Ahmed in Chak No. 203 of Nishatabad.

Four masked men snatched gold ornaments from the women of Kamran Rasheed family in Islamia Park, Sargodha Road, police said.

Armed men took away cloth and yarn, worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, from the godown of industrialist Ihsan Ahmed on Faisalabad-Samundari Road.

Thieves made off with thousands of rupees and gold ornaments from the house of Mian Muhammad in Chak No. 543 GB.

MURDERED: A young boy was gunned down by his friends over a minor dispute in Rahmanabad on Tuesday.

Tahir Husain exchanged hot words with Amjad Nadeem and Ashraf Ali over some minor issue. Amjad and Ashraf opened fire, killing Tahir on the spot.

Ghulam Muhammad police registered a case against the accused on the report of Muhammad Husain the father of Tahir.
