KARACHI, Feb 17: Half a dozen vessels carrying DAP fertilizer, containers and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships were berthed to clear the Eid-holiday backlog.

They are: Beauty River, Bunga Masempat, Iron-D to unload and load containers, World Glory to offload vehicles, Badula Valley to load rice, Team Neptune to load molasses and Chemstar King to offload base oil.

Four ships, Wher Havel, Bunga Masempat, Nik Mary and Chemstar King departed, while Ascot, Steel Glory, Kota Wajar, PONL Singapore, Beauty River and Team Neptune are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 70,568 tons comprising 16,406 tons of export cargo and 54,162 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Ben Aicha, to load 21,800 tons of molasses, Sima Bahar, Global Prosperity, Oriental Bright and Manhattan Bridge, with containers and Effyn, with 40,401 tons of DAP fertilizer.
