Six injured in hotel room fire

QUETTA, Feb 15: Six people received burns, three of them serious, when natural gas accumulated in a hotel room caught fire after an explosion, here on Saturday evening.

The injured were rushed to the Bolan Medical Complex soon after the incident.

The injured men belonging to Washak area of Kharan district booked a room at a local hotel soon after their arrival in Quetta.

As one of the men took out a matchstick box and tried to lit a cigarette, the whole room caught fire with a big bang, causing serious burns to the six men.

The injured have been identified as Ali Mohammad, Abadur Reman, Saifullah, Haji Badal Khan, Wali Mohammad and Mohammad Ishaq.

Hospital sources said the injured had received burns at different parts of their bodies.

They said the condition of three injured people was serious.
