KARACHI, Feb 10: The Edhi Foundation has appealed to the people to donate hide and skin of the sacrificial animals to the foundation for the cause of humanity.

In a press release, Abdul Sattar Edhi said the foundation was managing orphanages in the country and was busy in relief work in certain parts of the world.

Mr Edhi pointed out that once his foundation used to receive up to 45 thousand hides of sacrificial animals but since some people started collecting skins on ethnic and sectarian grounds, making citizens hostage, the mission of human rights and serving humanity was severely affected.

The people who were responsible for poverty and hunger, were now forcing people to boycott Edhi morally and financially, he added.

He vowed to continue his mission at all costs and hoped that the people would cooperate with the foundation by donating hides and skins of sacrificial animals to different welfare centres of the Edhi Foundation.
