Heroin seized

JACOBABAD, Feb 8: The Customs anti-smuggling squad on Thursday seized 3.79kg of heroin worth Rs40 million in the international market.

The Customs squad had been tipped off that some smugglers were smuggling heroin from Balochistan to Sindh. So led by the DSP, Larkana division, Malik Abdul Qayoom, it raided a wagon (MBA-131) near the Umrani checkpost and found the heroin hidden in a fruit basket.

A smuggler, Hakim Khoso, was arrested on the spot.
