KARACHI: Anti-US demo held

KARACHI, Feb 7: Speakers at a demonstration on Friday urged the authorities not to provide any assistance to the United States and its allied forces in their war against Iraq.

Speaking at the demonstration organized by the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) at the Press Club, they said that first the imperialist forces invaded an Islamic country— Afghanistan— to get access to the hydrocarbon deposits in the Central Asian region, and now they were planning an attack on Iraq to get control over the oil deposits in the Arab countries.

They also urged the Arab countries to forget their regional disputes and forge unity among themselves.
