ISLAMABAD, Feb 6: President Gen Pervez Musharraf will lead Pakistan’s delegation to the 13th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement to be held in Kuala Lumpur later this month.

“President Musharraf has been advised by the Prime Minister to attend the Summit because of the latter’s pre-occupation at that time with Senate elections and other important political matters,” informed government sources told Dawn on Thursday.

Heads of states and representatives from the 114 member countries will attend the Summit, which starts on Feb 20. Foreign ministers meeting will be held prior to that of the heads of states on Feb 24 and 25, ministry of foreign affairs officials said.
