KARACHI: Fire in factory

KARACHI, Feb 6: A huge fire broke out in an oil filter manufacturing factory at Site on Thursday morning.

A spokesman for the fire department said the fire erupted in a plastic goods godown on the third floor of the factory which soon spread to other parts of the building.

Eleven fire-tenders worked the whole day to put out the fire.

The cause of the fire and extent of the losses could not be immediately ascertained.

A fire broke out in a garment factory in New Karachi Industrial Area early Thursday morning. A spokesman for the fire department said the fire broke out on the fourth floor of the garment factory in Sector 12-D and spread to other parts of the factory.—Staff Reporter
