TEMERGARAH, Feb 4: The continuing tussle between the Jamaat-i- Islami activists and Wapda authorities over the beating of a Wapda engineer, Sardar Bahadur Khan, has badly  stalled the routine office work in the area.

Two weeks ago, a charged group of JI activists attacked the Wapda offices  and beat Mr Khan and his staff. Later, Mr Khan  was admitted to a hospital. The administration registered a  criminal case against the local JI secretary, Aizazul Mulk Afkari and  10 others, including activists of Hizbul Mujahideen.

Except one activists Afkari, all others nominated in the hooliganism  have been released on bail. The local leaders of the  Awami  National Party, PPP (Sherpao) and WApda Hydro Electric Union had condemned the  violent  act and urged the government to take  legal action against the culprits.

The tussle between the local JI and Wapda staff has  stalled the working of Wapda office and consumers are suffering to get their problems resolved.
