KARACHI, Feb 4: A plan to improve the health-care services provided by state-owned hospitals in Sindh has been submitted to the authorities by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the plan was presented to Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, and Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar, by the CPSP’s president, Prof M. Sultan Farooqui.

Under the plan all district hospitals and medical colleges are proposed to be linked. The specialists and experts should be made to visit the district hospitals and advise the staff and patients there.

The administrative control of these hospitals should be made more effective and the FCPS doctors should be posted there during their training on full salary.

The CPSP has offered to assist the health department in linking the hospitals.
