KARACHI, Feb 4: Five ships carrying containers and to load ethanol and molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where all the new arrivals as well as those awaiting berths were allotted berths. They are: Mar Challenger, Kota Waris, MOL Sincerity, Sima Bahar and Global Paramount to unload and load containers, Anna Phosphate to offload phosphate, Babur Kaptan to load molasses and ethanol, Impros to offload oil, and Fair Voyager to load molasses.

Four ships, Bunga Masdua, Kota Waris, Count and Stefano Juliano departed while Sorena, Dainty River, Global Paramount, Mar Challenger, Impros, Sima Bahar and APL Dalian are expected to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity was maintained on the higher side at 75,426 tons comprising 23,695 tons of export cargo and 51,731 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Botany Triton, to load 2,500 tons of ethanol, Cape Henry, Hyundai Stride and Iron-D, with containers and Pergamos to load 15,500 tons of molasses.
