KARACHI, Feb 2: Reckless driving claimed three lives in the city on Sunday.

The police said two teenage boys riding a motorcycle died when they were knocked down by a speeding passenger coach in Surjani Town.

Adeel, aged 16, and Noman, aged 12, were riding a motorcycle when they were hit by a Data coach in sector 5-D. They were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.

Adeel was son of a UC councillor.The police claimed to have arrested the coach driver.

A young man died in a hit-and-run accident in North Nazimabad.

The police said Abdul Latif, aged 28, riding a motorcycle was hit by a speeding minibus of route (F-21).

Latif fell to the ground and his head hit against the pavement. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The minibus sped off after the accident.

FIR: On the instructions of the sessions judge Malir, the Sukhan police on Jan 27 registered an FIR of the looting by force of 25 buffaloes and a repeater gun from the cattle farm of Mohammed Anwar on December 18, 2002. The cattle farm is in the police limits of Sukhan.

“Before the notice from the sessions judge, the police were not registering the case,” the complainant said.
