Indians arrive

ISLAMABAD, Jan 31: A 14-member Indian squad arrived here Friday to compete in the 11th Asian Junior Squash Championship starting Sunday.

Also arriving Friday was the Sri Lankan team that brought to five the number of countries to have reached Islamabad. Hong Kong, the only remaining foreign side, were due to arrive Saturday.

The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) said it had played a pivotal role by bringing India to the championship.

“We sent our team to the World Juniors in Chennai last year and we are now glad that India have reciprocated,” Wing Commander Sajid Waheed told Dawn.

The Indian squad has six boys, five girls and officials.
