KARACHI, Jan 31: Six ships including Anna and Torm Eastern, carrying rock phosphate and steel coils respectively, are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow owing to delay in arrivals of some foreign flag vessels. As a result, only Stefano Juliano to load molasses was berthed after the departure of six.

The departing ships, were led by Al-Wajba, Hyundai Future, Kota Teraju, Arcturus, Ievoli Shine and Emin Ka, while Golden Far East, Banglar Kallol, Islamabad, Oriental Bright and Lemin are due to sail out on Saturday.

Owing to lesser handling of liquid tonnage, the total tonnage fell to 22,650 tons comprising 15,682 tons of export cargo including 2,375 tons of rice and 6,968 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Impros, with furnace oil, Jamila, Iwato, Ocean Genuis, with containers, Anna, with 31,876 tons of rock phosphate and Torm Eastern, with 14,800 tons of steel coils.
