PESHAWAR, Jan 28: The Governor, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Dr Ishrat Husain, called on NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah here on Tuesday.

The Provincial Minister for Finance, Planning and Development, Siraj-ul-Haq, was also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the SBP chief who is on a visit to the provincial capital also gave a lecture to the faculty members and students of the Economics Department, University of Peshawar, at the Auditorium of the Area Study Centre.

Dr Ishrat also visited the head office of the Bank of Khyber where he was received by the Managing Director Sajjid Ali Abbasi.
