SIALKOT, Jan 26: Kashmiris residing in Sialkot and Narowal districts on Sunday observed India’s republic day as ‘black day’.
The protesters held various agitational meetings in Sialkot, Daska, Bhopalwala, Sambrial, Uggoki, Begowala, Pasrur, Badiana, Chawinda, Shakargarh, Zafarwal, Baddomalhi and Narowal.
Speaking on the occasions, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Forum central chairman Dr Zahid Ghani Dar and others strongly condemned a large-scale human rights violations and genocide of Kashmiris by the Indian troops in held Kashmir.
They expressed their hope that the sacrifices of the innocent people would soon bring freedom for Kashmiris.
They urged the UN to ensure early implementation on its resolutions for the freedom of the occupied Kashmir.

Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, Punjab Teachers Union (PTU) provincial information secretary Abdul Rashid Nagra condemned the delaying tactics of the Education department’s clerical staff. She alleged that clerks of Education and Accounts departments were demanding bribe from the teachers for the release of their salaries.
He urged the highups of the Education department to take stock of the situation.
KILLED: Two goats were killed on Sunday in firing by Indian troops in Chhumb Joriyan and Bajragarhi sectors of the working boundary.
Sources said the Indian security forces continued firing on villages with light and heavy machine guns in working boundary’s Chhumb Joriyan, Bajwat, Chaprar, Bajragarhi, Jammu, Akhnoor and Zafarwal-Shakargarh-Narowal sectors.
