KARACHI, Oct 9: Opener Imran Farhat blasted 160 off 197 deliveries to help Habib Bank pile up 348 for five in their first innings against Allied Bank in the Patron’s Trophy Grade-I clash at Sheikhupura Stadium Tuesday.

According to details available here, Imran, the 19-year-old Test left-hander, batted for 245 minutes and faced 197 balls. Together with Taufiq Umar, Imran shared a first wicket stand of 199 in 171 minutes.

Taufiq, the 20-year-old left-hander who made a century on Test debut against Bangladesh in August, negotiated 116 deliveries.

Hasan Raza is still at the crease with exactly 50 — off 8 balls — to his name alongwith Farhan Adil in the unfinished sixth wicket partnership that has so far realized 68.

Stand-in Habib Bank skipper Shahid Afridi, who won the toss, made just 14 while batting down the order.
