Six PML-Q candidates file papers

LAHORE, Jan 21: Six candidates of the PML-Q submitted nomination papers on Tuesday for the Senate polls.

Former railways minister Javed Ashraf Qazi, Naeem Hussain Chatta, Rozina Alam, Dr Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, Dr Shehzad Wasim and Amjad Abbas were the six candidates.

Three more candidates of the PML-Q —- S.M. Zafar, Kamil Ali Agha, Begum Gulshan Saeed —- are expected to file their papers on Wednesday, the last day of filing Senate nominations.

PPP’s candidate Ehsanul Haq Piracha filed his third nomination for the Senate polls. He had already filed two nominations.

Some 23 candidates have so far filed nominations for the Senate polls for 22 Senate seats in the Punjab.
